Our meeting this month should feature our speaker, Peg Larson a former state representative, currently a lobbyist. I hope that youlwill bring prospective members to this meeting. As I mentioned last month, we don't have many prospects out there at the moment. Please think about who you might ask to attend.

I was pleased with our discussion about service last month and look forward to working with the Service Committee on identifying the next steps so that we can make available hands-on service opportunities for our members.

As far as I know, only three of us will be travelling to Fargo for the District Meeting. There is still time to get your reservation made, but of course, you will now need to pay an additional $25.00. I know that several of you have conflicts that prevent you from going. I hope that I will have the opportunity to talk to Kerry Dixon-Fox, our Lt. Governor about the invitation to St. Paul to host the District Seminar next October before I go to Fargo, but if not I will have that discussion with her while I am there.

The Hospitality Committee report of the survey reviewing our meeting date and time is included in this newsletter. It appears that we prefer the current meeting date, so we will continue with this schedule.

Finally, our Global Event is only five weeks away. I hope you are inviting your friends, family and co-workers to join you for this evening. From experience, we know that it 's a great time and of course, helps us serve some very worthy organizations. And, don't forget those silent auction items. Remember, the ticket price really only covers the cost of the dinner. It's the silent auction that makes money for our projects.
Our goal is to have all 10 tickets sold by our September meeting. Final reservations must be in at our October 16th meeting.

See you and your guests next week.
